Lights, Camera, Action! Hone your on-camera skills and take the next step to stardom.
Performing in front of the camera although similar to theater is distinctive in approach and technique. This acting for film and television camp is a must for anyone wanting to know about acting in Hollywood and similar industries. It offers the camper the experience of working in single camera acting techniques and instills an understanding of what the relationship is between the camera to the performer.
Campers will be trained in many of the technical requirements that an actor must know to work successfully in the profession. Workshops in cold reading, audition techniques, and the “business of the business” are all part of the campers week-long experience. Focused on performance, campers are trained by professionals in the motion picture and television industry who are passionate about fostering the next-generation of storytellers and are uniquely qualified to offer up-to-date and real-world techniques and insights into this ever-evolving industry.
Each camper will get the experience of working in front of the camera to realize a finished scene. Guest speakers may drop in from time to time to share their knowledge. The program will be taught within an active working LA production studio.
